Dr. Robert Kayal

Robert A. Kayal, MD, FAAOS, FAAHKS, our Orthopaedic Chairman, is the founder and president of Kaya I Orthopaedic Center. He specializes in Mako robotic-arm assisted hip and knee replacement surgery as well as sports medicine and arthroscopy. Castle Connolly has recognized Dr. Kayal as a Top Doctor every year since 2011.

Steve M. Aydin, DO, is Chief of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and lnterventional Pain Management as well as clinical assistant professor at Northwell Health-Hofstra School of Medicine. He is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Victor Ortiz, MD, is the Chief of Hip Service. He specializes in minimally invasive hip preservation procedures and hip arthroscopy as well as the Mako robotic-assisted Direct Anterior Approach (DAA) for hip replacement surgery.

Rajesh K. Pandey, MD, is board­certified in internal medicine and specializes in rheumatology and osteoporosis treatments. He has performed thousands of ultrasound­guided injections, including carpal tunnel and knee injections.

Amit Sood, MD, FAAOS, Chief of Shoulder Service, specializes in the comprehensive management of all disorders involving the shoulder. He also treats conditions involving the hand, wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle. Treatments include trauma/fracture care, sports treatment/arthroscopy and joint replacement surgery.

Edward A. Lin, MD, is our Chief of Hand Service, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and an expert in the management of all conditions affecting the finger/ hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. His practice also includes general orthopaedic conditions and injuries affecting the spine, hip, knee, ankle and foot.

Jeffrey Pope, MD, FAAOS, Chief of Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy, specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. He is skilled in trauma, as well as shoulder, hip and knee replacement surgery. He also is heavily involved in sports medicine and adolescent orthopaedic care.

Irina Raklyar, MD, FACR, is a board­certified rheumatologist specializing in arthritis and autoimmune diseases. As a certified clinical bone densitometrist, she is qualified in the interpretation of bone densitometry and treatment of osteoporosis.

Alan Zalkowitz, MD, is a rheumatologist with more than 40 years of experience. He started the Arthritis and Rheumatology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC and the Lupus Foundation of New Jersey.
